Anna specializes in developing, implementing and evaluating government policies using design methods. As Head of Policy Design at PDR (International Design and Research Centre) at Cardiff Metropolitan University, she is responsible for developing partnerships, drafting proposals, leading networks, conducting research, developing strategies and evaluating impact for government, enterprise agencies, sector councils and trade associations. Since 2009, she has been managing a portfolio of multi-million pound European, research council and government contracts. Examples include EU projects on innovation policies and programmes, consultancy for trade associations and strategy development for regional and national governments. She has worked as a parliamentary assistant in Westminster, as press officer in the French Ministry of European Affairs and has completed her PhD benchmarking design for innovation policy in Europe.
