Benicio Aguerrea
With a degree in Fine Arts and a diploma in Industrial Design from the Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan, he has worked as an industrial designer, as head of design for an industrial company and as manager of a product design studio. Since 2010 he has been managing coordinator of EIDE (Basque Design Association) and, on its behalf, curator of the Bilbao Bizkaia Design Week from 2018 to 2021, member of the Board of Directors of READ (Spanish Network of Design Associations) since 2016, Secretary since 2020 and member of La Multilateral del Diseño, representing READ, since its creation in 2020.
Isabel Roig
Executive Director of the Barcelona Design Centre since June 2000, a private foundation which works to enhance innovation and creative talent towards making the Barcelona brand an international reference in design. She holds a Degree in Tourism Business Administration from the University of Girona (Spain).
In 2006 she founded the Barcelona Design Week. Isabel has been a member of the European Design Leadership Board appointed by the European Commission under the European Design Innovation Initiative (2011-2012) and the President of BEDA, The Bureau of European Design Associations (2013-2015).
Currently she is the President of World Design Weeks (2020-2023), a network for design weeks and festivals around the globe, which was founded in 2016, by the design weeks of Barcelona, Helsinki, San Francisco, Mexico, Toronto, Beijing, Seoul, Tokyo and the Dutch Design Week.
