Kenneth Biunas

Head of Design Economy and National Design Policy Unit

Kenneth Biunas is a data analytics and business intelligence professional, design manager, and marketing communications specialist. He is currently Head of Design Economy and National Design Policy Unit at Design Center of the Philippines, the country’s only national agency for design.

Since 2017, he is responsible for spearheading the agency’s strategic initiatives and special projects on design and creative industries. Key projects include the Design Count’s mapping, the country’s first-ever National Design Policy, the Design Advisory Council, International Design Conference, and Design Week Philippines. Using his foundations on data, design management, and communication, he has supported the agency in demonstrating the role of design in steering the country’s competitiveness and innovation ambitions towards inclusive growth and in transforming the Filipino’s way of life.

Kenneth was a former fellow and creative economy alumnus of the British Council and the City, University of London, where he specialized in creative and innovative leadership and policymaking. He also represented the Philippines at the World Summit on Culture and Arts, and the Creative Economy 2030 Conference.
