María Navarro has been directing the Association of Designers of the Valencian Community for more than 20 years. Among other projects, she has managed the 12 editions of the Valencia Disseny Week; two National Design Meetings; 7 editions of the International Typography Congress; the report ‘The economy of design in the Valencian Community’ and the self-diagnosis tool for the use of design in companies, D-ToolBox. She currently works with a transdisciplinary team in the implementation of the Oid!_Observatory on the Impact of Design.
Committed to the urgent transformation of the system towards a sustainable one, she is the coordinator of the ‘Circular Economy Club’ in Valencia and has been responsible for the organization of different forums on circular economy and design. She directs the platform ‘encircular.es’ from where alliances and tools are promoted to move towards a sustainable system.
